Home How To?Updated July 29, In a small home workshop in Perth's eastern suburbs, year-old Guenter Best is keeping the craft of watch and clock making alive.
The German-born master craftsman moved to Australia in and has taken his skills to clocktowers across the city, as well as restoring grand heirloom grandfather clocks and intricate fob watches.
He is one of the country's few masters of clockmaking, a career he began in Germany when he was When Mr Best was called up to do military service that was compulsory for young men in West Germany, he made his next move. In Switzerland he worked for watch makers including Rolex and travelled all over Europe, climbing tall, steep clocktowers to repair the mechanisms behind the faces.
When he emigrated Down Under, Mr Best was offered a number of jobs but decided he would only work from home and set up his workshop. The first group of five graduated in — four are now working in the industry — and it now has 36 students. The contents of this blog are mine; the models I built, the ideas I used etc. If you want to use these, I'd appreciate it if you asked permission first and use the contents as they are intended; the making and depicting of scalemodels. I saw several sollutions for the ammoproblem in this cramped vehicle, but none seemed logical to me. This is what I came up with, a similar solution as the Sd. I also came up with an idea to create a setting to put the vehicle in.
It is supposed to show a vehicle, being camopainted in the field. A little accident happened and one of the crew got covered it the paint. This is the initial idea: On the other hand, I am building a Sd. I had no idea what to do with it, so I added it to the scene, making it look like this; Scene 1; Scene 2; Everything you see comes from the sparesbox; figures, equipment, etc. I added some PE too and it isn't all that hard, but I keep it simple.
The right topside got an MG42 with sparebarrelcontainer and a weaponmaintenancepouch. The MG-fasteners were homemade by using leftovers. I also added the cable for the antenna, which runs from the antenna across the roof to the radio in one piece. The left topside got a homemade gunbarrel cleaningrod and some wiring for the radio.
The interior received alot of things, such as ammoboxes, personnel gear and foldable seats. I thought the interior looked quite empty, so I added some gasmaskcontainers too.Military Modelcraft International The modelling industry has been in constant evolution over the past fifteen years, and the advent of the Internet has played a significant role in linking modellers from all corners of the globe.
